Fins Up Aquatics
For my project, I wanted to create my own summer business. I have had several parents ask me if I teach private lessons in the past. I decided to take this need and fill it. In the past, I had done a few random private lessons when I had time. This year, I wanted to be much more organized and prepared.
I arranged times with my manager to where I had the pool to myself at certain time so I could teach lessons. I taught water safety and instruction. I had a safe and successful experience teaching this summer. I worked with each child for four sessions and each session was a half hour long.

“Each child is unique everything they do. Some are good at swimming and others are good at reading. Today I learned that it’s important to treat every child the same and make sure they know that it’s okay to not be the best at everything. As a teacher, remember to keep a positive environment in order for your students to learn.”
